NO.

Nissan never made the Sil-Eighty. they were all conversions done by Kid's Heart available at Japanese Nissan dealers. only 400 made.

Whatever dude- I'm sick of this whole controversy, there are those who are believers, those who are non-believers, and then there are those who know they were factory built. Who cares... think what you want to think. It's not like any of us have ever heard of a car company manufactoring a limited edition sports car before.... NO..... that's UNHEARD of....

The only way to prove everyone wrong is to get physical proof, which is almost 100% impossible due to it's rarity and what it was used for. It's like finding an original Cobra 427. Replica's are ramped, but finding a factory made one is impossible.

I have personally seen MANY REAL Cobras. They are rare but not hard to find. I am from Auburn, Indiana. It is the home of Auburns, Cords, and Deusenburgs. Auburn's claim to fame is as the "Classic Car Capitol of the World" They have a HUGE car show every Labor Day Weekend. They feature some special classic car every year for the car show and a few years ago they featured the AC Cobra. Mr. SHelby himself was the Grand Marshall for the parade and there were probably a hundred or so Cobras in town that week.

This is the rear of gladjrs's car. This is what a Sileighty looked like from the rear.

Nissan never made the actual Sileighty. It was a licensed aftermarket product and it WAS a limited production item. The real deals are rare and can get rather expensive. They were produced by a Japanese company called Kidsheart....and I believe they might have even been sold through Nissan dealers.

THANK YOU. ChrisB, shut your piehole, you are incorrect. don't believe me? get a translator and call Kid's Heart 011-81-0568-24-1222. Nissan provided the parts, Kid's Heart made 500 Sil-Eightys (one production run, only in 1994) and they could be bought at Nissan dealers. Similar to buying a Comptech-supercharged NSX at an Acura dealer.

Meh, more similar to Camaro SS's. Chevy dosen't make SS's, they make Z28's, then I think SLP makes them SS's with new hood, rims, seats...

Still interesting.

I thought SLP was owned by GM? Maybe an affiliate or something...
