Taking apart the Dashboard

if this has been answered before I'm sorry, nonetheless I'm a new 1992 240sx (coupe) owner and i was hoping to change the dashboard (speedometer, color, etc etc) features but i have no idea how to take it apart, and since i can;t find the helpers manual in stores i was wondering if anyone could give me a step by step process....much obliged

I should be able to help you out. If you have any real specific questions let me know. Taking the dash apart is pretty easy. Most of the screws are pretty easy to find. The ones that aren't are by the windshield under the defroster vents. There are also a couple in the glove compartment. You're going to want to take teh glove compartment off first, and then the rest of the dash should be pretty easy. You'll need to take off the pane under then steering wheel. Also, about a foot down from the wheel, on either side of the steering column, there are two bolts. Once you take these out, the steering column will drop down and allow you to get the guage cluster out.

I hope this helps.

Good luck,
Matt
