jesus........just answer his question

one is a hatchback also known as the 180sx in japan.
the other is a coupe (no rear hatch) known as a one-via in japan BUT with a silvia conversion the rules change
the hatchback becomes a sil-80
the coupe becomes a silvia

i hope i did okay

Nismo240sxDET Jul 1, 2005 04:44 PM

the only difference i seen was the tailights are different and one has a trunk and one has a hatch but is the performance wise anything differnt or both the same performance wise....

Jack The GTR Jul 1, 2005 04:47 PM

the coupe is alot lighter due to no rear glass like the hatch.same engines

Nismo240sxDET Jul 1, 2005 04:55 PM

i perfer the fastback...

Bryan Jul 1, 2005 04:55 PM

besides the coupe being lighter and not having a hatch, there are no performance differences

Cape 240 Jul 1, 2005 06:52 PM

i think the central balance of the weight is different too.

I think the fastback is damn close to 50/50 but the coupe is like 60/40??

I could be wrong. Which is why the fastback is preffered for drifting.

lrb_2000 Jul 1, 2005 07:13 PM

Coupe = 2699lbs
Fastback = 2730lbs

There's only a 30lb difference... I wouldn't worry about it... If I were buying a 240sx, I would go by which one you think looks better... you won't notice any perfomance difference in either stock.

For SE models add about 35lbs more to that due to A/C and power options/sunroof.

The coupe is lighter. The Fastback has more cargo room and has a weight distribution closer to 50/50.
