You would have to repin the cluster plugs.

Take a look at them here.

Ok, if I undertsood that right, the guy had an unworking HUD and he swaped it with a working one. However, I have the analog gauges to start with, so will the swap work with me? I'm kinda confused

The swap will work but you are going to either have to make a converter plug or re-pin the plugs.

I'm sorry if I'm getting on your nerves man, but as you can see I'm a noob here, so please have patience with me. How do I go about doing the converter or the repin? Thank you for your time

If you want to see a small video clip of the HUD in action, go

Dude you will have to do waaaaaaaaaay worse to get on my nerves.

I am part of a crew of 650 guys that all have my cellphone number. I answer these questions at 3am.

You will have to take all of the pins out and re-pin them because the hud has three plugs while the analog has two.

Keep on truckin!

Hey Stanbo, I know what your talking about to a certain extent... I bought a HUDs piece only and have an 89 Canadian 240 with a SOHC dash Cluster and was wondering if you have a wiring diagram that shows which pins have to be repinned in order for the huds to work properly.. i would appreciate it very much.
