Tension Control Rods are important, Tie Rod Ends perhaps, strut bars, upgraded sway bars, upgraded bushings, and LSD
TC rods really help, sway bars and strut bars will help you IMMENSLY, you can feel the stiffness. Good tires are very important as well.

If you're car is in good condition I'd go with the sway bars before the TC rods, even if the TC rods cost less off the bat. Strut bars are also an easy 30 minute (usually) install that can change the feel of your car like night and day. All three can be advantageous in both drift or grip, so you won't have to replace and buy more stuff if you can't decide between grip or drift.
On a side note, I'd suggest learning grip before drift... the basic required parts list is very similar, and I would imagine that you (and anyone for that matter) would be a better drifter if you first learned how to control and interpret your car's movements and responsiveness at maximum grip. A lot of the good or consistent D1 drivers crossover from drift to grip during the off-season, and the ones who moved up the ranks quickly almost always had more grip experience before entering drift.
Good luck... we need more girl drivers to flex the skills

yea i was planning to start off grip first for a while till i get comfortable. anybody got any opinions for which brand i should get for tie end rods and tc rods? anothing thing i was wonder about was a roll cage. i heard it stiffens up the car as whole. but do i really need it? how much do they run for?

roll cages are amazing because they stiffen up your chassis like no other, you REALLY can tell the difference with one, many people call it the best suspension upgrade, my buddies dads rx7 apparently was amazing with one.
Check out PDM racing for your suspension. Tc Rods, whiteline makes some good aftermarket one, but if you're hardcore you can get some adjustable TC rods, enjuki racing I think has them, but you're looking a few hundred dollars.
I was gonna use Moog tie rod ends from PDM racing, but found someone local who sold & installed mine for $100, with some he swore up and down on, forget the name.

Whiteline I've heard nothing but good about their parts; but I'd say stay away from Projekt Silvia stuff (read a lot of bad about their parts).
As for a roll cage, you're looking at at least $600 for a 6 point. The only one I know of is Cusco, unless you get one custom welded up for you. The one thing no one addressed about roll cages that I think is very important is of course the safety factor.
Do-Luck makes a "tension guage" which looks like a roll cage, is built like a roll cage, but it's NOT a roll cage. It has the same effect as a roll cage, minus the safety factor.
However, you might want to pass on the roll cage for now, and maybe invest in a set of really grippy tires. Tires are often overlooked by everyone who's getting "into the game". They get every suspension piece available, $2k coilovers, subframe spacers, etc. then when it comes to tires they are left running on some cheapo brand because they spent all their $ elsewhere. Remember that tires (I think I've said this before somewhere) are the only thing connecting you to the asphalt.
Now that I think of it, a roll cage will drastically change the response your chassis gives you, but at the same time it'll increase overall interior noise, especially if you daily drive your car.
Hope that helped
