JDM SR versus USDM SR

What are the diffrences between the JDM SR engines and the north american SR engine? Obviously the north american version isnt turbo, but internally how do they compare? The JDM SR20DET compression ratio is something like 8.5:1 and i know the north american SR20DE (the only SR variant in north america) has a compression ratio of 9.5:1 but the reason they changed that is obvious, so my guess would be the JDM SR20DET has dished pistons compared to flat tops in the SR20DE, also the JDM engine is distibutorless unlike the USDM SR20DE
Anyways what im getting at is could I rebuild a JDM SR20DET with bearings, rings, etc from a USDM SR20DE or is it all diffrent? also anyone know if the rods, crank, block or head castings are the same?

sorry if this has been asked before, I'm new to this car and couldnt find anything in a search.

the us sr20 motors were only offered in fwd platform. internally the two are somewhat different, obviously the crank, head and pistons are. some exterior parts are interchangeable but not many.

I knew it was only a FWD platform, I just figured since it was the same engine series all the internals would be the same, I'm almost positive all the bottom end bearings are the same, just not sure about rings.
good to know heads are the same, this was one of the things i liked about the SR over the RB, atleast the majority of the parts for it are available here or atleast the stuff you wreck when the engine goes.... I'm never gunna destroy an intake or harness or any other JDM specific stuff, but wrecking a head or block is very possible.
