check the coilpacks to make sure they are getting proper voltage, have u tried jumping it? maybe its the battery..

homesliceisj Apr 2, 2007 02:13 PM

well the car cranks fine and yes i have jumped it... how much voltage should be going to the coil packs? and what else could be the problem

homesliceisj Apr 3, 2007 12:30 PM

just hook up the plug with the coilpack and see if the plug sparks, do so on all four.

Biggamehit Apr 3, 2007 02:43 PM

hey bro don't Triple post a topic

things you need to check:

-spark plug ( remove an single spark plug lay across valve cover and have someone crank your motor. and verify that there is no spark

( either one of these things will ruin your day)

-CAS( crank angle sensor)

-Igniter

-Connections

-grounds

check in that order, you should also run an diagnostic test, your ecu will tell you whats wrong.... unfortunately when you have a spark issue, it doesnt help if you cant get the replacement parts. remember these motors are not brand new, so don't be surprise if one of those parts fail..... give that a try and tell us what happens.

That what im saying ive already takin the aprk plug out and checked it for spark I also hooked up an EFI spark test. And ther is no spark present..

Biggamehit Apr 3, 2007 08:11 PM

cool now you have to check your igniter and cas... only thing i could suggest is find a buddy who has a working cas and igniter and swap one at a time and then both and see what happens... spark issues are pretty simple to find unless something has gone very bad such as severed wire somewhere that you cant see.

It was the ecu... how it got like that i dont know but it was definnetly the computer...

RuizXIII Apr 8, 2007 11:06 AM

Its funny how ECU's do that. They just die, i hate when that happens.

homesliceisj Apr 9, 2007 09:12 AM

Yea i replaced it... Did i have any other option??? But yea it didnt "jus go bad" the new one i bought worked for about 3 starts ups now its doin the same thing everything works except spark... What should i do about this problem insteaqd of replacing the ecu??? And what could be causeing them to go bad???

Biggamehit Apr 9, 2007 04:06 PM

man now it sounds like and electrical issue.... i would seriously trace you wiring. you could have a bad electrical load somewhere. check you battery terminals and fuses bro.. something is frying your ecu.

did you wire your car, or did some one else? if someone else, they need to check the wiring. SR wire jobs are simple to me, but they can be easily screwed up... also vibration can make wiring come loose if not done properly.

homesliceisj Apr 10, 2007 09:24 AM

I wired the car.... si ther any wireing instructions you could send me or somthing to mabey double check myself?
