removing a turbo PLEASE HELP!!!
have any of you guys tried removing a turbo manifold along with the turbo its giving me a head ache. i'm trying to replace a broken bolt on the manifold and i need to change a gasket from the turbo to the manifold and so far it's hasn't been an easy task. :dunno: :help:

should be an oil return line, an oil feed line, and a coolant line on the turbo. after that you should be able to unbolt the manifold. along with the turbo

yea. bro.......... take your time look at it and disassemble it........ its no science to it you will have to approach it from many angles. top and bottom
|
thanks, so far most of it is off it's just that there are a few bolts that where hard to get out i just need to get a last bolt from the line inside the turbo

good stuff.. just to let you know................ the metal water/oil line will require you straighten the fitting out before screwing the banjo bolt back in. when you began to finger the bolt in, don't go crazy when it doesn't go in the first time.
personally what i do is LIGHTLY!!!!!!!!!!!!! bend the head of the banjo section straight a little bit so that there is not an angle to it. the best thing do to is invest in some braided line. Its flexible and you will not have to deal with the annoying hardl-ine. |
