sr20 seein what you guys think of this setup

bought a blacktop s13 sr....so far ive gotten
cometic head gasket..think its 1.1
arp studs
hks ssqv bov
koyo radiator
exedy flywheel
t28 off a s14 blacktop sr
greedy intake mani
act 6 puck clutch
all custom intercooler piping
gettin fmic soon dont know which one
3 in back to apexi n1 titanum can, no cat no resignator
apexi safc
255walboro fuel pump
all brand new rad hoses
new ignitor
new water pump

im sure theres a few things im forgetting

btw this is all goin in a s13 coupe

wanted to know if you guys think this is a good setup for now..untill i go all out and do cams and bigger turbo, and what kind of numbers you think ill make with this setup?

S13Hatch 09-03-2007 12:06 PM

Boost controller? The rest looks good to me though.

motegineon 09-03-2007 09:03 PM

dont forget lines for the turbo and perhaps a z32 maf

tonyfizzle 09-03-2007 09:27 PM

prob turbo xs boost controller for now...and yeah z32 maf.. any idea of what hp number im lookin at?

battosaii930 09-03-2007 09:38 PM

that all depends on the tune but id say around 300whp unless you get bigger injectors and maybe like 350hp dont go more then 350hp on stock internals unless you dont car about wasting money

tonyfizzle 09-04-2007 11:18 AM

yeah.... i was lookin for 300whp tis is gona be my daily d for a couple months

NiSmO Knight 09-05-2007 04:33 PM

I would say forget the Z32 MAF and the SAFC and pick up the Power FC w/ FC Commander. A far wider range of tuning and ability to do more down the road even if your goal is just between 300 and 350.

I would recommend picking up a Greddy FMIC, just cuz of the bang for the buck. Very decent size for the price. Unless you want a used Blitz intercooler with piping for dirt cheap... Hubert Young is selling his Blitz FMIC from his Formula D car. www.willraceforfood.com

Check out his for sale section, pretty good deals there. He even has a few packages on gauges and other things too.

tonyfizzle 09-06-2007 11:18 AM

thanks yeah ill def check out his stuff

Or getting an RS Enthalpy rom tune for Z32 maf. Not that expensive and very good tune.

Otherwise a pretty nice and standard setup that should be a lot of fun

DJ_Sunrise 09-11-2007 04:19 PM

I agree with getting a power fc..

my setup made 258whp and 272tq on a dyno dynamics dyno..its a greedy dyno though. a dyno jet would feed about 20% more =) Essentially a 300whp daily driver.

s14 SR = t28 at 1 bar w/ forge unos mbc
z32 maf with apexi suction kit
blitz lm fmic
power fc
apexi n1 dual
tomei expreme exhaust manifold and turbo outlet
megan racing flex pipe
megan racing cat delete pipe

Tuned by dent sport garage. :smileeek: Assume guys. Great tuners.

... you have a power fc, but still use Z32 maf??? power fc eliminates the use of the Z32 maf...

tonyfizzle 09-13-2007 07:22 PM

update....

just bought some flexalite fans the double ones
z32 maf sensor

why is it that a z32 maf sensor is more expensive then a sr sensor?
doesnt the z32 flow better?

You will love the fans, I got them, if they are the Dual 12" Fans! They pull the air through the koyo like crazy!

Don't forget about a Turbo Timer with that!

If I'm reading what you asked correctly...

You answered your question already, there more expensive because they have BETTER air flow, than the SR sensor!
(I hope I didn't sound like I was flaming you, cause I'm not, I usually don't type much in forums!!!) :smilie_thumbsup:

I also say you get a Power FC. If you get the power fc you won't need the z32 maf!

Anyways, Sounds like a killer setup!

If you havn't yet, check out my thread on my car! Who knows you may get some ideas from my setup!

tonyfizzle 09-14-2007 12:22 PM

haha nah i dont think your flamming me..

i actually wrote that wrong ha... i seen on some webistes, i think enjuku racing was sellin the sr maf for more money then the z32 and i was like huh? that dont sound right

as for the fans yea there the dual 12" ones

and if i can get a used power fc ill get one cause there kinda expensive..ill prob just use the safc at first then down the road get the fc commander

i wanted to run the hks ssqv but im hearing that the new one sucks? its not as good as the old one?

battosaii930 09-14-2007 01:58 PM

hmm so you dont need any maf at all of you get a apexi power fc? or your stock sr will work as good as a z32 on a power fc? im confused lol im gona buy one of those too i need more research
