better handling rims?????
 

Hey all, I have a general question. I read on this forum that better rims or 16,17's, would get the car to handle better. I thought that 15's would be the best or 16's. So my question is will I be ok with my steelies and say some new tires? Falkens. BF Goodrich,etc. Or should I get a set o' rims and tires. Would rims be purley astethic or are they very much helpful????:spin:

Yeah...wider and lower offset..as long as you dont put dubs on your car you should be fine :p Remember though...tires are essential...dont skimp on those :nono:

lighter - less rotationg mass
wider - more rubber on the road
bigger dia - iono?...
lower offset - wider track

they all help handling.......u kno....

low profile side walls give less and will help too.

not great for potholes tho. those thick stock side walls kinda act like a "prelimenary suspension." low profile will give you some dent lips but for track purposes, its better. bigger diameter will havea larger circumference for every complete revolution, thus giving you more distance. but you have to factor in the weight of larger rims as well. also if you go "gi-normous" you need to calibrate your speedometer to read correctly (if you care)
