Brake adjust question.

How do I adjust the e-brake? The brake on the vert I'm getting is very very stiff. Like as soon as you pick up on it, you get resistance.

Wicked! So its easy.

jramosthe1st! 07-12-2007 09:45 PM

yup

just about everything one these cars is.

Stfu. My fb has been dead since this time last year. lol.
In any case, what would cause a brake to drag? I was told the front driver's side is dragging, and causing premature wear and damage to the pads and rotors.

jramosthe1st! 07-12-2007 09:55 PM

i'd flush the line and bleed it.

what i meant fixing the problem is easy. troubleshooting can be a pain sometimes.

LA_phantom_240 07-12-2007 09:57 PM

hmm... Possibly trash in the line?

jramosthe1st! 07-12-2007 09:59 PM

could be the lines are decaying, the brake fluid can do that.

LA_phantom_240 07-12-2007 10:00 PM

So if they're decaying, they could be causing trash in the line, AKA keeping pressure on that caliper?

jramosthe1st! 07-12-2007 10:03 PM

it's possible.

i could be totally wrong but that's what i'm thinking.

LA_phantom_240 07-12-2007 10:05 PM

Meh, its a cheap troubleshooting option. A couple bucks for some brake fluid isnt gonna kill me. It gives me a chance to replace the broken stopper in the brake pedal. Stupid plastic. I had to relieve brake pressure in my fastback to replace the stopper in that one too, because my hands are so fat.
