Brake Fluid story

...so I go to the mountains a lot, and drive my car hard. Anyways, last weekend I noticed my brake pedal was getting closer to the floor. I figured my brake pads were on their way out because of all the mountain driving. Then yesterday afternoon when I started up my car, I stepped on the brake as usual and it made this really loud noise. Everytime I slowed down it would make the same "friction" noise. So this morning I popped the hood on a hunch and checked the brake fluid, and it was super low! Refilled the sucker and everything is fine.

Turns out the outside of the brake fluid filler has a darker bottom half so it looked like it was fine (on the outside). So yeah... check that brake fluid :D

Thought about that but there's no tell-tale drips... I'm gonna clean out the area near the master cyl. etc. and see if I can't find any clues

if its a leak then youre brake fluid is going to easily rust through anything it touches

My brake master got a leak and ate the paint off of the booster and the frame rail before I changed it out

my brake fluid used to leak out from where the plastic bucket mounts to the metal.
