Brembo slotted rotors

Does anyone know where I can find Brembo slotted rotors for 5lug w/o ABS? i keep finding Crossdrilled/slotted or Slotted 4lug.

just get vented rotors they are better than slotted

Chiefgmsr 01-04-2005 04:12 AM

Yea I just might have to. Slotted looks better and won't crack up. I'll keep looking around though, thanks

mine are vented front and rear.

slotted and vented are different... slotted are holes on the surface just like crossdrilled... vented are holes on the outside edge (non-contact edge).

Yes make sure you know what you are talking about.

With that the slots are not HOLES more like grooves in the surface.

Yea I know the difference btween slotted & vented. I was just sayin that I might have to settle 4 vented if i can't find brembo slotted. But I'd rather have slotted. Or any good slotted rotor, if anyone recommends one

vented are better than sloted

Levi SPL S14 01-04-2005 11:30 PM

True but they make slotted vented rotors.

Chiefgmsr 01-05-2005 03:10 PM

Oh I didn't know that. Does Brembo make slotted vented rotors

Catharsis 01-05-2005 03:22 PM

you dont want slotted rottors you want just plain vented rotors trust me

Chiefgmsr 01-05-2005 03:28 PM

slotted can't be turned, like drilled can't be turned... and sometimes if you go cheapo brand, the slots/drilled holes/whatever aren't done precise so that the rotor ends up heating unevenly when you use them hard.

did that make sense? Sorry it's 4am

Levi SPL S14 01-06-2005 07:55 AM

^ yes and the rotor may crack leaving you unhappy.
