If you are streeting the car a lot I cannot express how pleased I am with my Stance coilovers. Inexpensive too.

whatever you do, do not buy k-sports i bought them, because they were a decent price and yea they work but they are kinda noisy which worries me

from my understanding, the general consensus is that when it comes to k-sport coilovers the defective set would be the one that actually functions properly.

i would avoid them like aids.

ryguy 08-25-2007 08:46 AM

Yeah, I've heard many more stories about them failing than stories about how good they are. Somewhere on one of these forums a guy had a pair of dampers on his K-sports bend on him. I'd say the peace of mind is worth the extra 300 spent on Megans or Stances.

Wish I could ride in a s14 with stance and one with powered by max... :(

What is your budget, and what do you mean by track? Here are three recommendations for different budgets:

KTS (from SPL)
KW Variant 3
DMS 40 or 50 mm

In the $1000 range, KTS from SPL Parts is a good choice.

If you're willing to spend more, JIC FLT-A2 coilovers are pretty popular. Also, HKS Hypermax II coilovers are probably the best developed coilovers out there.

Whatever you get, make sure that it has adjustable spring perches and adjustable shock positioning. The spring perches will allow you to set ride height and spring preload. The shock positioning will allow you to set the shocks so that they will hit the bump stops right before your tire bottoms out in the fender. This is really important for maximizing your suspension travel. Let us know what you decide on.

What is this statement based on. I would tend to disagree, but I am curious as to thought behind this.

Dude. All coilovers are height / preload adjustable.
