Driving On Wet Pavement

It has been raining today and I went for a drive to get some food. I noticed that my car handles very badly in the rain and on wet pavement. It almost feels like I'm driving on ice. The rear end feels very loose and I have to constantly compensate in steering in order to keep the car in a straight line. WTF! If I go too fast I can feel that the car would lose control. Before I had attributed this to the tires which were almost bald but the tires I have on now have plenty of tread. Is this happening to anyone else?

yes. u are not alone. it wasnt to bad when i had tire pressure a lil low. but i jacked it up to 42psi (stock tire size) and now the **** is really loose. exactly like you said. on ice. i just take it easy....and i let it loose too. its part of owning the car, to me anyway.

Good point on lowering the tire pressure. I'll try that! It's going to be wet for the next few days around here.

I'd certainly like to hear from someone who has changed their subframe bushings/spacers. I would like to know if this is still happening to them or if it's not quite as bad now.

So the spacers help. That's good info. I know what my next mod will be.

Yeah I agree....

Handling, then power.....

I spent like close to 4,000 on wheels, tires, coilovers, and other suspension components before doing my swap, and I am very happy that I did it this way.

Power is nothing without handling

Wait, wait, wait...you're saying that this is a bad thing?

But, seriously, get some good tires and don't be an idiot with your right shoe and you'll be fine.

in that case... me and you(motegineon) are on the right train of thought. I to have spent massive amounts on controllability before my cA goes in. Tein Flex FTW !!
