Eibach Sportlines & stock struts?

I already searched and found some topics about Eibach Sportline springs, but I couldn't find what I wanted to know. Will the stock struts be usable with the car lowered that much? Also, for any Sportline owners: Do you have problems with the car scraping or catching the ground at times?

I'm planning on buying the sportlines for my car, but I just want to make sure I won't destroy the shocks when I install them. I don't care too much about the front bumper right now because its already messed up because of a stupid truck running into a tractor trailer and slinging metal pieces across the highway. :dunno:

i dont have them, but stock shocks on any car are ever made to handle lowering springs, they might hold up for a lil while but i wouldnt count on them lastin very long. so then ur gona wana by shocks as well....oh wow look ur price is only a couple hundred from buying coilovers lol, just save some extra cash n buy coilovers:thumb:

They won't last. Stroke will be reduced and since the springs are stiffer than stock, it'll blow the shocks. Just get GR2s at least. Do it right the first time. It'll save you some headaches.

Aren't the GR2's more or less stock replacements? I'd at least get a set of AGX's.

Thats true, AGX would be better than the GR2s.

Ok thanks. I really can't afford much more than the springs themselves right now, so I think it will be a while.

wit the sportline u wont scrap nuttin unless u hit a big dip going
fast u will still clear curbs so ur not that low but i wish i would

Yeah, I have Sportline's and Tokico Blues in my '93 and you don't scrape anything. The ride is nice, not too firm, but not too soft. The front lip is the only thing you need to worry about when pulling into parking stalls. I'll be pulling mine out after I get my coilovers. Wanna buy? Just kidding, I live in Hawaii, and shipping kills any good deals!

When I save up a little more money I think I'm going to go with a set of AGXs. I'll just buy the sportlines for now and wait to install them until I get the shocks.
