Excessive Negative Camber

I got an alignment check done today. Turns out my front camber

is as follows:

Front: -3.7° [LEFT]-----[ ]-----[RIGHT] Front: -4.6°

technician said that he could go 1.5° MAYBE 2° positive making it

at -2.7°-ish , if I purchased their in house camber kit for

addition $100, plus $75 for alignment. This was done at

JUST TIRES.

vehicle: S14

setup: Cusco Comp-S Damper, bought it used with Upper Pillow

ball mounts. Any idea(s) in getting camber to those numbers w/o

camber kit, or should I go back and do it all for $175 plus tax?

(which by the way tech was honest enough in saying for almost

1° difference not worth it!)

wow somebody should fire that tech he is the dumb

does your car have frame damage?

My front camber setting is 3.1 good setting

wtf camber kit for the front, thats what adjustable mounts are for

if you buy that kit i will beat you with a stick!

isnt that what the pillow ball mounts are for? to adjust camber?

Levi SPL S14 04-15-2005 01:49 PM

No if they are adjustable pillow ball mounts then yes.

Just because they are pillow ball doesnt mean that they are adjustable.

I just said that btw.

The Performance shop that installed the damper system said they positioned the front struts to be equally matched to one another in terms of camber. Since this item was sold to me used no spanner wrenches or such, are the top front camber mounts adjustable with a hex-shaped allen wrench of some sort, if so while on ground or lifted up? My first damper system so please excuse the tyro-ish display BTW no frame damage what so ever

Levi SPL S14 04-15-2005 03:31 PM

damper system haha very technical.

Yes the top here http://hks.horsepowerfreaks.com/Imag..._SUSP_SPIL.jpg
is camber adjustable by changing positions of the allen bolts. easier to adjust in the air.

Spanner wrenches just allow for height adjustment.

Good luck.
