full coilover kits vs custom coilovers

what is your guys' opnion on building a custom coil over setup with adjustable struts or buying a full set besides a few hundred dollars in savings?

unless you take your car to track, buying a full coilover set is a waste of money. KYB adjustables and Eibach springs do just fine for a daily driver.

"custom" coilovers are a waste. (believe it or not, this is an unbiased opinion) They are quite costly in the end. Most people start with the typical Ground Control style setup being added to their stock struts. Installing them requires quite a bit of labor to remove the stock spring perches. The stock, and most aftermarket, struts are not a short stroke design. They typically wear out in about 6 months. Then, the owner buys KYB's or the like and repeat the whole process. These will wear out very soon as well. If you are paying labor for all of this, it actually costs more than real coilover suspension, especially if you get aftermarket pillow ball mounts.

hmm...........

Well i looked into tien zeal and tanabe coilovers and others but to me a full kit is easier to deal with when making sure the struts work properly with the coilovers, i've had friends lots of issue trying to slightly mod coilovers and struts b/c they didn't fit together properly then you run into the camber issue which full coil kits take care with pillow ball mounts. (that's pretty dope)

This car would be used for daily driving not too often but alot of touge racing.
