help asap

I bent my left lower driver's side control arm and broke the tension rod. everything else is fine. I been looking at my car and jacking it up now for the past 3 days and I cant firgue out how i'm gonna repair this kinda damage. the parts I need i can get a local junkyard for 30 dollars total so i went up there to try to get the parts and I couldn't get all the bolts off. I got some off and the other bolts I could not get or figure out what i was doing or how this is done so i gave up til Saturday. Saturday i'm going back up with my one frined. What tools do i use for this job? and what needs to be done> what parts have to come off first? how many steps does this take and how long?

i think there's a FSM for your car floating around to D/l on the site. in all honesty i'm a bit of a newb myself. but i think the info you need is there.
on my 89 those parts come off rather easily. *shrugs* but there's alot of difference between our cars. so i'm not certain what the case is for you.

man, I ate $h1+ a year ago and bent the exact same links as you. I wish I had pictures of before + after.

It isn't a problem with handtools. Not that hard though. I'd advise you to take the tension rod first since its connected to the LCA. Then just seperate the lower arm from the knuckle and front brace.

once you have all the parts, it shouldn't take more than 15minutes with air tools. Then, just work backwards. LCA first, tension rod second.

mind you, I have teh S14. The components might be different.
I have one of those adjustable tension rods like Tein. I just bent the sumb!tch straight w/ a pressure bender. That thing is still on my car today.
