help me??

how do i get the left rear quarter panel off??? and what about the left front fender?

I'm with Stupid 01-03-2003 08:40 PM

The rear quarters are part of the uni-body... they can't be removed. Sorry, but I'm not sure about the front.

front fenders are easy:

open hood remove all bolts on top of fender

open door look through door jam...remove the one on top and bottom

2 more on very bottom of fender (under car)

there will be a couple more that attach your front bumper to your fender, 4 maybe:dunno: , undo these and that puppy will slide off

PS- you may need to remove bumper to get those last 4.

Sawzall or cutoff wheel the old part out and weld the new one in.

Same procedure to replace that panel on just about any car.

can u explain in more detail??? would it just be easier to take it to like a crash repair place and get it done there>?>

If you don't have access to a welder and know how to use it, you should bring it to a body shop.

How bad is the damage? If it's just a dent you can probably bang it out and fill it yourself. Do you have a picture?

If the panel needs to be replaced, you probably don't have the tools or skills necessary to do it. If it's just minor stuff you may be able to do it yourself. It's hard to say without seeing the damage.

heres whats happenein tell my what u think i should do>????

I'm with Stupid 01-07-2003 03:47 PM

That is REALLY bad. Definately go to a body shop, but make sure you go to a really good one cause that's a bad spot to fix. I've seen other 240's hit there and the shop can only do so much to fix it. So it might still be noticable after fixing it.

89240sxmup 01-07-2003 03:50 PM

how much do u think that would be???

I'm with Stupid 01-07-2003 03:55 PM

Probably more than the cars worth.

GOD DAMNIT!!!!!!!!

Body shop, for sure... that is a little more than panel damage. The rocker panels are a pretty important part - important for structural integrity... basically that could be considered frame damage.

Replacing the quarter panel and door on my gf's Civic cost $3200. And the damage was deeper, but higher up on the car so possibly not as severe. That was about 4 years ago in Boston, where the shops are pretty expensive.
