Who makes good Hicas Lockout systems for the s13 (not for my car)?

I know Kazaama Has a lockout bar type. SPL parts makes a different style one.

Im in the same situitation. its so much better to just find a subframe(im getting one for 70) and just swap them...Dont buy the hicas lock bar. its more money, and not AS safe.

How much do subframes usually go for?

well if you go to elite jdm like 250. but usually junkyard like 120-130.

wear did you get this info from?

lock bars have been run for years. if the welds are ****ty yea its not safe. but i mean its hard to mess that up man. if you have a welder you can make your own.

any lock bar is good. if you care about brand.. go with what you want but they all do the same thing.

just as a side note, i wouldn't buy anything from someone who can't keep his/her site business like. just read the customer reviews on more-japan.com to see what i mean.

EDIT: I know a few people who bought from the site, and it's legit since it's run by Tanabe and SSR, but i have no idea about the customer reviews LOL. They should probably fix that or not have it there to begin with.

well honestly, with me. Im doing the subframe cause i wanna get rid of it completely. plus its better cause i can replace all my subframe bushings while im up there. and i know their all safe. but like in all honestly, im all about clean stuff. so yeah. To me this is just another option, its like getting seat covers rather then new seats.

I know, thats what I did, Im just saying to me. I honestly only look at this item as a temporary fix. As does alot of other people. Just like i said earlier, would you get new seats or seat covers? Understand what I'm saying? Its like why play 150 bucks for a bar with threading on the ends of it, I thought you could make it your self but its not THAT easy. When you can just get a subframe for a little bit under that at your local yard...

We all know how fragile the HICAS rear steering system is on RWD Nissans. If it's not the incredibly weak outer ball joint that breaks, it's the tie rods. Either way you end up with play, causing unpredictable handling and MOT failure.

This comprehensive Driftworks HICAS Eliminator kit removes every part of the flawed Nissan system, replacing it with fully adjustable, heavy duty rosejointed toe control arms giving precise adjustment and confidence inspiring handling.

The kit removes the HICAS steering rack, the tie rods, the tie rod ends and the outer hub end ball joints, replacing them with:

Two very high quality British built brackets, that bolt into existing holes in the rear subframe. (no drilling required)
The tie rods and ends are replaced with a heavy duty toe control arm, this gives full adjustability, and uses high load 3 piece teflon lined Japanese bearings. These are not service items as some other manufacturers use, they are fit and forget self lubricating rose joints specced for the European roads.
The outer ball joint is replaced with an uprated Driftworks Polyurethane bush completing the removal of every part of the HICAS system.
