lower control arm. "ball joint"????

Its probably really simple, but I need to know how to grease the little rubber boot without a grease fitting

jramosthe1st! 08-13-2008 09:46 PM

it is simple you can't, well you can but it would be pointless because you probably damage the boot in the process.

well the thing is i got a used one because my lower control arm was bent and the one i just bought has the boot busted

jramosthe1st! 08-14-2008 07:02 PM

if the boot is busted then you have a bigger problem than a dry ball joint. sand, water, debris and so froth can enter and cause more damage.

well its not that's its dry, its just that I was wondering how to replace the boot on the factory control arm

Rotary_tech 08-14-2008 10:20 PM

doesn't energy suspension make some sort of polyurethane ball joint boot for 240's???

i got the same problem on mine.... and was just going to replace it all together....
