Parts for Alignment on a Lowered S14
Hey guys,
I'm eventually (when I get the money) going to install coilovers with adjustable camber plates on my 95 s14 and was just wondering what other parts are necessary to align it to factory specs. I will probably autox or road race sometime in the distant future but for now I just want to get maximum life out of my tires for street use. I already purchased some adj. t/c rods to pass inspection. Are adj. RUCAs and toe rods necessary? What about traction control rods (not even sure if they affect alignment)? |
If you go lower than stock you need adjustable rucas or you will have uneven wear.
|
So adj. rucas are the bare minimum, probably?
Would they wear quicker without adjusting the toe? Can you even adjust toe in the front? |
Toe is easily adjustable in the front with the stock tie rods.
|
Cool thanks for the feedback ryguy. I think I'll just get rucas to start off with and add little by little after that.
|
Toe will destroy your tires more than camber will.
|
Really? So you think the toe would be really bad if I dropped if maybe an inch or 1 1/2 inch?
S**t, might as well just do it right. I just cant afford it right now I guess Ill hold off on it. Coilovers, Rucas, and Toe rods. thanks for your help guys |
no an inch or an inch and a half is not going to hurt your toe that bad. I am positive you can get it into factory spec in front using stock tie rods, not sure about the back but i think you can there too.
