Popping Noise...
 

:help: I need some confirmation on this... Lets say you're in a parking lot. When you pull out of your spot and turn the wheel all the way to either side, and you get a "POP" that usually means the TC Rod right? Or am I over looking something? Can anyone give me other suggestions as to where else I should look? :pityfool: :help:

EDIT: It also "pops" when I stop at an intersection and make sharp right hand turns, sometimes even when I make U-Turns.

I would have to say tie rods if its from the front.

Yeah, it is from the front, I figured that would be the source.

if you have lowering springs or coilovers, it may be the spring not being able to sit properly on the perch. i had the same problem with my coilovers.

Yeah...my first guess would be the springs too

What should I look for? The springs also make a "creeking" noise when I go down a bumpy driveway slowly... and other places. But yeah... I'll check out both.

Its hard to look for something as it could look OK and still make a noise. Best thing to do is to have someone turn the wheel for you while you look at and try to see if anything is binding or moving. If you look at the spring on the bottom and it is not properly seated to the lower perch, then that would be obvious, but the noise could be from the top spring hat as well.

I'll definitly do that... But with the weather being as it is... its gonna sit for a while lol.

Nah, more like hammer on metal "pop"

if you have coilovers, check the "top hat", it's right on the top of the springs. it looks like a metal dish with a spacer on the top then the camber plates. try rotating the spring until it gets harder to spin. observe how it may "pop" off. If you have coilovers with separate dampening and height adjustment, try tightening the "spring seat lock" so there's no play on the springs. don't know if this helps, worth a shot.
