Proper suspension adjusting
 

I need some advice here... i have searched and am still confused. :dunno:

I need to get an alignment done on my car, i'd like to adjust the suspension while i'm there...

can you recommend decent settings for a daily driver, stock suspension, wheels and tires, is there anything i can have them change to give a little better handling.
like i said, i dont really get the camber, caster, toe etc... gt4 didnt cut it:laugh:

^thanks... i just wanted to know if anything is actually adjustable w. the stock suspension parts

even with stock you do have 3 adjustments

- front toe
- rear camber
- rear toe

Don't think you have like +/-5 degrees of adjustment though... just enough to get the factory specs on a car with OEM ride height on OEM springs.

The front toe is obvious - adjusted by the steering tie rods. There is no camber or caster adjustment for stock.

The rear camber is adjusted by rotating the offset cam bolt that connects the rear upper control arm to the rear subframe. IIRC you get like +/- 2 degrees.

The rear toe is the same - an offset cam bolt that connects the rear lower toe arms to the rear subframe. Same amount of adjustment there.

I stress the 'OEM' part because once you lower your car anywhere beyond 1.5", these offset bolts are out of range to properly correct your camber/toe. From here you'd need more parts.

Until you fully understand how each of those work. Replying to this thread is a waste of time because you wont know with the settings given how your car will react.
