R32 GTR calipers,,,, what rotors work
 

I have some aluminum R32 GTR aluminum calipers. I found that out they are GTR not GTS after trying to put Z32 rotors on and they are a little small. Z33 rotors are almost exactly the same dimensions as GTR's except a bit thinner, and the VR4 rotors a almost an exact match too, will either of these work?

why dont you just buy the proper rotor for the caliper?

^^^^if the calipers dont look like that, then you dont have GTR r32 calipers. If you do then the link is where you buy them.

Was looking for a lower cost alternative. That and ease of getting a replacement if something were to happen (min downtime)

An r32 gtr should have the same nissan badged calipers as a z32 30mm I believe. If they are Brembos, they are from a 33 on and would be the same as a 350z track

They aren't the same as the Z32's because the Rotors are a little more than 1/2" too small. Also, they are Sumito's not brembo's

never mind...they are significantly larger diameter. Specs say 324mm, but that may be the vspec

The R32 GTR's rotors are 297, I have heard the IS300's rotors work with a 3mm spacer

I know for a fact the distance from hub on the GTR are greater thant he z32

the z32 30mm will not work with the r32 GTR non vspec.

Well, I know for temporary, I am using Z32 rotors. Only prob I am having right now is I am not using about 1/2" of the pads. I know its not the best combo by far, but when I get new pads, I am going to see how the IS300 rotors work.

z32 rotors are either 280mm x 26mm or 280mm x 30mm while the r32 rotors are 296mm x 32mm

That thread will give you the rotor sizes, nothing else really fits and I would not recommend trying anything else except what was made for it. I'm running into a similar problem, but my problem is looking for pads. Rotors seem fine. For now.
