Should i get my springs cut?

Hey~
My dad knows how to cut springs to lower a car...should i do it?
he says as long as you dont cut off more than one round you'll be ok.

just tell me if this is a good

:spin:

you can do it but its only gonna be for the looks the car wont ride any better or stiffer

that is the point of the springs the better and more aggressive ride.........
if all yo uwant is the look go for it but if you mess up.... your stuck with broke springs and a car that you wont be able to drive for a bit.

if i were you i would just shell out and get springs or coil-overs
if you dont wanna spend a whole lot go for the cround controls..... they will run you about 300 bucks but your car will ride ALOT better than cuttting your stockies

but if its a temporary thing and your dad is confident in it then go ahead :thumb:

BAD idea

First, the ride will be bouncy if you cut the spring. Second, the struts will be out of their optimal range, and we all know how good stock struts are. If you wanna do it, do it right. You don'yt know how many civic people have done that and you see them go over a bump and laugh as their springs don't respond like they should.
