steering wheel wont center

I recently had to remove my steering wheel to get my dash out. When I put my steering wheel back on it wasent centered properly. Then I took it to get lowered and had to get it re-aligned now when i drive straight to get my wheels straight to try and get the steering wheel centered again it wont go on. It will only go on if its a lil off to the right or left. Did me getting my car aligned effect me being able to get my steering wheel straight??? If so how can this be explained to a mechanic to get it fixed? Also the mechanic told me when I picked up my car that one of the nuts needed to align my rear left tire wouldnt come off and was starting to strip. He said he aligned the front end and the rear right as best he could. Could this have anything to do with my steering wheel not being able to center when driving straight???

Thanks

I'm not sure if I'm understanding your situation correctly, but it might just be that you aligned it on the splines a little bit off.

Just pull the wheel off the splines, and move in couple degrees whichever way it needs to go and you're good to go.

Just get it aligned, your alignment guy should be able to help diagnose if that doesn't work.

if you cant get it to go all the way on when you have it where it needs to be, try wiggling it a little while pushing, should go on then
