can anyone tell me if the tie rods, control arms, sway bars, and crossmembers of a 1989 240 are the same as a 1992? i recently busted all these parts hitting a curb and the only model at the salvage yard is a 92. any help is much appriciated.

sway bars are the same but the tie rods and control arms are different but i dk about the crossmember

thanks for the replys, i just found something about a limited edition se fastback with stiffer suspension for 92, maybe its the 4 wheel steering?

the SE ones had thicker sway bars.

i checked on a replacement parts site it said they were different but i dk

89-93 suspension parts are all the same unless its a hicas model. Since 94 was convertible i think the rear shock was a tad different.

the SE ones are thicker arent they? or is that the hicus ones?

All S13 models (89-94) except hicas have interchangable parts.

All S14 models (95 - 98) are built the same. Only difference I see in S14 chassis are weight. SE being the heaviest and the LE being the lightest. But I rather get SE anyways to save time from doing 5 lug conversion and to have a stiffer chassis.

Everything on that car in the salvage yard should swap in to your car like cake.

control arm, radius arm, and sway bar all fit great. had to buy a tie rod though. no matter how many times i do suspension work i can never remember this so i thought i would share;

ALWAYS put the nut back on the control arm before pounding.

i mashed the threads and had to get a tap and die set, but then returned it, thanks harbor frieght :). thanks for the feedback everyone.
