Vibration in front end 240sx s14
 

I replaced the tie rod ends and still have a slight vibration at around 60-65. The wheels are balanced and the wheel bearing are tight. Could blown struts cause this problem? If not what else could cause this?

bad struts or you could need an alignment.

Is the wheel bent? that was my problem. You couldnt even see that it was tweaked either.

How are the bushings on your tension rods?

Sorry for the newb question where is the tension rod at? This is my first car, all I have ever owned was 4 wheel drive trucks. I dunno if the wheel is bent. I will get them checked when I get some new tires hopefully soon

Buy a chilton manual... and download the FSM for your year... there are serveral people who have uploaded the FSM's for our cars, you can find one if you look a bit. You will be MUCH better off with reference material.
On the front suspension you've got the lower control arm, which is the main large piece the goes from chassis to the wheel hub, the tie rod which is behind the control arm connected to your steering rack and the tension rod which is in front of the control arm. They connect to the front of the car at an angle. With the front wheels off you can't miss em. I would suggest jacking up the car and inspecting all your suspension components front and back. If you're not comfortable doing this, pay someone to do so.

How do you know if your old tires are balanced? Is this car new to you or are the tires just old? Get an alignment and the tires balanced before you go replacing parts. What you are describing is very characteristics of out of balance tires.

id say out of balance tires and or blown struts .. if you feel it more in the steering wheel usually the front in you butt its usually the rear.. i actually recently bought a 240 thought the vibration was a balance issue so i balanced them didnt fix the problem turned out to be struts .. hope this helps you ..
