What do you guys think of these

I'm thinking about going for a set of these in 17x8, they have a 28mm offset at that size. I checked one out in person today and I think the outward spokes will work well for 300z brake clearance. Opinions or suggestions on tire size? MB weapons

OH **** YA!!!

I had those wheels for a while.

I had 17 x 9 +17 gunmetal.

Wish i hadnt sold them.

They clear Z brakes and coilovers.

GOOD ****!!!

I was gonna say if your 5-lug just get the 17x9 +17 they will fit fine, have the option for a wider tire, and look better.

Thanx guys. Good to know about the Z brakes and coil overs. I was thinking about 17x9 orginally but from what I could gather that's fender rolling territory. One dude was trying to sell some 17x9's but he had to go with a tire which was waay to thin to avoid fender rolling. I will check wheel tire size calculators for size, but do does anyone have any sizes/brands they think are tight?

i'm getting 5Zigens 17x9 rear 17x8 front.
Bronze Fno1rc's

:-)

Those rims look tight, i'm diggin' the color too.

^ why stagger?

9j all around or nothing.

for a 9j wheel i run 215/40/17 for a nice stretch and great look.

whats wrong with rolling?...its not like its bad for performance or anything and rolled and pulled looks bad ass:thumb:

hell yeah, fno1rc were my first choice... the weapons are also very light, 17.8lb's is what I've read. There's some dude selling the weapons on NWN 17x9 bronze with that size tire... they looks HELLA stretched though... I've run tires wider then that on 17x7's on my maxima.

Levi SPL S14 Dec 31, 2005 05:17 PM

well stretched is performance soo why not.

i run 225 on 10j thats stretched.

I just don't want to spend the money or risk ****in up my fender on fender rolling.

Cape 240 Jan 2, 2006 04:01 PM

i figured 9" would be too wide on the front for turning radius? With a body kit? (I have Origin: Stream)

PS, why do you say 9j or 10j ... what is "j"

nsn240 Jan 2, 2006 05:45 PM

levi, since your the offset man... what would be a flush (roll, little pull) 17x8 and 17x9 setup, no camber? i have an idea, but id like to hear you opinion. (I think it would help out the thread starter too)

and yea... wtf is the "j" for??

phreze Jan 2, 2006 09:53 PM

The j is in reference to the wide of the wheel. Not sure if it stands for something in japanese but thats how you can tell the width of the wheel.

on an s13 17x9 +15 with 215 tire for the front and for the rear a +10 with a 225 tire

also i was gonna ask does anyone know the weight on these wheels?

Enlefo Jan 6, 2006 09:33 AM

I've seen them listed at 17.8 pounds. I picked one up in person last week and they're pretty light.
