what are tension rods and tie rods??
 
hey guys i was hoping to upgrade my suspension so i was browsing through the net and i find lots of tension rods and tie rods. what is the diffrence between these two and how are they used? and also, is there any brands anyone would recommend?? thanks.

tie rods are used for steering. tension rods bolt up to the power brace for for support/stability i guess.

A little more info: Upgrade tie rods are only useful in increasing your steering angle specifically for drifting to get increased steering lock. Otherwise they do nothing

Tension rods are the front lower suspension link that control caster. The stock ones have a very high tenacy to go bad on the bushing causing you aligment to be off and to vary. Upgraded ones usually offer a solid spherical bsuhing instead and adjustment to increase or decrease caster
