What's the best overall and best bang for buck S14 suspension setup?

I am talking whatever it takes to make for a great street car. Nothing that's going shake the interior or jar you over bumps.

Coilovers or spring/shock combo

swaybars

Strut towers and/or other chassis braces

Control arms

Bushings

etc

Right now I am thinking the HE's or one of the groupbuy favorites, both are at around $1000-1200...then you jump to $2500 and beyond, whiteline or susp tech sways, front / rear stb's, Nismo power brace, tension rods without bushings, perhaps a lower brace, ES bushings for the spots they sell them for. I think this would make for a good handling and comfortable car without breaking the bank or your passengers.

Something in a 17x8" or 9" tire....I don't know if 18" will be too low profile, I had 205/40R17's once and it wasn't a nice ride...going 205/55R16 I gave up little if any handling and it was a much better ride.

Any suggestions?

You say street car...is this just going to be a street driven car, drift, track, grip? You all ready have a pretty good idea of what to get. HE's are one of the best buys, if you can afford them.

As fore wheels/tires. How bout 17X8 all around, OR 17X8 in front and 17X9 in rear. As for tire size...215/45 or 40/17 in front and 235/40 or 45/17 in the rear. You could also do 225 in front and 245 rear. Lots of choices!

Well I may hang it out in a corner or two, but I doubt I'd ever take my 98 to the track other than a Test and Tune...if I get the space I may pick up an older more expendable 240sx and make it a weekend track car.

I am still learning what's the parts to get and it's obvious there are great buys and terrible ones. Part of my website is trying to piece that together.

you can fit a 9j up front with a +25 to a 0 offset. you may ahve to roll the fender and or pull them but tis free and easy to do.

Spoke design is more important if you want to clear big calipers
