Wheel spacers?

This saturday i saw wheel spacers at pep boys...i was wondering what they are for and why would you buy them...

-HyJynX- Dec 16, 2003 10:47 AM

Ok...wheel spacers are for when ur wheel has the wrong offset and is to "indented" in the car, so you use a wheel spacer to get the wheel to as flush as possible.
DO NOT BUY SOME FROM PEP BOYS, DONT EVER EVER EVER. I wouldnt trust pep boys that much with my suspension...

:werd:

Wheel spacers are generally a no-no... but there are some high quality ones out there. If it's a simple flat dosk with holes drilled into it, I'd stay away from them. They're generally "one size fits all" and if you're running say a hub-centric wheel, you lose that feature in the design and possibly make your car dangerous to drive.:thumb:

H&R I belive the best spacers...not sure if they sell em for the 240 though

Seen em, I know what you're talking about... quick tip for ya bro - this is going to sound obvious, but a lot of people don't put enough time into it:

Before you invest in seats, sit in them for A LONG TIME. A few of my friends would buy the inexpensive seats, but after a coule weeks or so they'd wonder why their butt hurts, or back, etc. until we came to the conclusion that it was the "performance seats" they bought for about $300 a pair. Remember, the seat is where you'll be all the freakin' time, so it's gotta be comfortable.

Bring a magazine with you (or just borrow one from the rack) at Pep Boys and sit in the seat. Start reading for about 20-30 minutes at least. If your attention is still on the seats after about 1/2 hour, look to other brands. If you feel like you're at home, only to realize that strange people are walking around in your "living room" with Pep Boys baskets, then I think those seats will be good for ya :thumb:

I am going to be running 30mm spacers up front and 20mm in the rear. They are fine if you build up the rest of the parts around them.

-HyJynX- Dec 17, 2003 03:55 PM

god damn stan, 30 and 20? I wouldnt think thats save, but then again I got no first hands on experience. I will soon though...soon. ;)
A lot of the Sh*t from pep boys and autozone is just that..sh*t. The pedals..eh all right. Rims, there are a lot better ones. I only go there for oil and battery. And manuals...

Personal Favorites (Real world testing):
1. Bride Zeta II
2. Sparco Evo I
3. Recaro... haven't found one I liked yet

Well, like I said - my ass likes the Bride seat, but my wallet doesn't
