Wide rims

Been looking for some time now, and haven't come across anything that is within my budget.

Basically I'm trying to find a 17x10.5-12 rim that weighs less than 25lbs. I've seen those mustang rims on ebay and whatnot, but they weigh 36lbs! Everything else seems to be $800+ per rim.

Do any of you guys know of some rims that are both light and relatively inexpensive?

If I can't find anything I'll probably end up going with some FN01-Cs (17x10) and run a 285 or 295 tire until I can afford some custom rims from either Jline or CCW.

The wider, the more expensive they are.

You could also try 18's..some of them really have wide width. IE 18x12...

Also 285 in a 10 is superweak.

SUPERweak.

I've looked at 18s also...but it's just more money for both the rim and the tire. Also, 17's would serve my purpose better (drag).

I wouldn't exactly call 285s weak, especially if you're running comp tires. A friend of mine has the new C6 Corvette which has 285s on it, and they look pretty mean.

you want 10.5j + wheels then you have to pay.

no other way around it.
