im looking into getting a 97-98 240 (keepin the ka24de). ive heard that the engine is very stout up to 400 hp except for the pistons and h/g. how hard is it to rebuild a 240 blcok if i took it out of the eng. bay, and whats the best set of pistons for a futre forced induction project? im hoping to at least make 400 hp if not more, thanks. ( p.s. are there ne other problems the ka has besides pistons?) thanks matt

Originally posted by importlegions big man, big man Wow. What a clever, witty person you are. Have you ever read ANY of the posts in this forum? I don't believe you have. Otherwise, you would have heard some very common names of manufacturers for engine internals. If you expect everyone to do your tasks for you, just drop off your engine at Sunbelt Performance (in GA, they do Nissan race engines) with a wad of cash and I'm sure they'll know the answers to your questions. So, welcome to the bandwagon called the Nissan 240sx and learn how to search. Again, have a nice day. :D |
Yeah, like Jerome said, search. But I'll tell you that Ross piostons do lower the compression which is what you want for forced induction. Please search around and avoid Jerome's wrath, lol.
