boosted KA???
boosted KA???
reading the other thread made me think. i remember reading somewhere that stock internals in the ka can handle up to 14 pounds. anyone heard the same of different?
also who makes turbo kits for the ka besides the kit comin from greddy? not lookin to rule the streets in straights. jus something to get me around a little quicker and sideways.
umm and one more question... any suggestions on turbo size?
thanks

I heard that also. But I dont know, and probally wouldn't push my luck with 14 psi.
The T3/T4 hybrid was the turbo of choice but now everyone is saying T04B. Nsport uses the T04B but modifys it to get exhause gasses out faster T04B-R.
I think if I go with a turbo KA that I will make my own kit. Junk yards are great.

could you take a powerdyne supercharger made for a civic and strap it to a 240? i don't see why you couldn't and i might want to try doing this. its way cheaper than turbo and you don't have to wait for the boost.
a: NSport uses the Revhard manifold, don't they??
b: Nsport doesn't come with a JWT ECU in it's base kit, F-Max does.
c: On stock internals, 14psi has been done: '97 SE model, F-Max Stage II kit, Apex'i GT Spec exhaust, Nismo exhaust side cam (stock intake cam), and I think an HKS ignition. That car has only known one owner though.... how many people/ miles has your car been through??
d: a supercharger made for a 1.6L engine strapped to a 2.4L engine.... hmm...... the customization to fit it wouldn't be worth it, the power gains would be minimal, and you could probably do more going N/A.

i wouldnt go higher than 10 if i was stock internals..
and 10 may seem to be pushing it..
i supposed u have a kade
their cr is 9.5:1
its doable with turbos but isnt going to be very friendly when detonation rears its ugly head

i like the powerdyne super b/c it is self lubricating (no oil lines), duzn't whine (internal belt instead of whiney gears), and is centrifrugal. it is by far the best i've seen.
i say inlines should stay away from super just because of the frequency of pistons firing...think about it. inline have pistons firing every 180 while a v has it every 90 or so. a turbo is just more efficient on an inline. im not saying a super wont do anything for you, just advising that a turbo is a better use of the money
