boring the engine

i was wondering if i need to bore the engine for forged pistons.
i have found stock size forged pistons for the ka24de. how are the stock size pistons compared to oversize pistons? do i get more displacement?

when you bore out cylinders that increase displacment so if you want to get oversized pistons then im quessing that you have to bore it out so they fit.

The clearance tolerance for a piston is very small, and all pistons should be measured and the cylinder bored to match. That's why they are marked and why you can't switch any of them.

If you want to install forged pistons, have your cylinder bore checked for wear and buy the appropriate next size larger so the block can be bored to match each piston. Most all pistons are available in 10 thousants increments larger. ie. 10,20, 30 and 40 over.
