elks240 01-13-2004 08:32 PM

VT_motor 01-14-2004 05:17 AM

sorry i can't help chriswgs, but y don't you like the e-manage. Just curious

chriswgsx 01-14-2004 08:04 PM

Hey elks, i have a pocket logger for my eclipse and it works the nuts. i want something just like that. and the boost controller part of the emanage is a pain in the ass to use and i ran faster times in my eclipse with a manual boost controller. if you want an eo-1 boost controller i have one for sale, but not the whole emanage part.

elks240 01-14-2004 08:57 PM

Hey i have the Nology PDA-DYNO it works like the poket logger but you can also figure out HP and TQ and other things, it graphs it for you and its an OBDII scan tool... BTW it only works on OBDII cars... i cant use it but i got it all for free so.:dunno:

Chris, this isnt my area really...but i did a lil searching and ran across 2 things that might help you. First is the Apexi Power FC what your looking for? http://www.autospeed.com/cms/A_0301/...popularArticle
And second I also found this company http://www.dataq.com/products/startkit/di194rs.htm Only problem that i have heard with them is that its analog, meaning its not suited to measure frequency signals, like RPM. Hope i helped ya out

will it work for the 93 ka original ecu

what is OBD II? not familiar

chriswgsx 01-15-2004 04:00 PM

obd II is an ecu code. 96 and newer ecu s are obd2. the advantage of obd2 is that it gets more accurate signals from the sensors on the engine to read vitals such as o2 voltage and ignition timing etc... technicians diagnosing problems with an obd2 can use a scan tool to figure out problems. the problem with obd2 is closely related to the advantages. if you change things such as aftermarket parts the ecu doesn't like what it gets for readings and will easily throw a check engine code. some obd2 cars increase the fuel ratio when this happens to make sure that your car runs properly, but it slows it down at the same time. It is also easier to hit fuel cut with obd2. obd1 is better for having lots of aftermarket stuff. your 93 is obd 1 so this will not work.

chriswgsx 01-15-2004 04:41 PM

close. the apexi is an entire ecu replacement. i just need something that i can use to tune for when further upgrades come in. thanks for your help though.
