First time
Hi everyone I am new Im 23 and have finished college. I would like some opinons/anwsers. I have a job and have a wonderful home. I don't have problems with money thank god :) . I have before in my eariler years tuned cars (when I was 17,I had a jetta). I have moved on and have love affairs with drifting and nissan S14's. I Have a BMW M3 for about 1 year. The reason I want a 240 is to tune out like my jetta. I have the experience with drifting and Driving. But as you can see I know nothing about 240's and have come to the experts at these forums to help me. I also bought my BMW M3. :D
- I have seen a nice 1996 240sx for sale here is the link. http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.js...st=1883#vdptop - There are a lot of 240's that say LE and things like that. Does it matter if you have an LE, SX. Like are all parts 1995- 1997 for SX's, LE's the same or do I have to specifically search for that certain part. -I'm willing to spend as much as it takes because I come from a Rich family. . But I bought my house and all the insurance etc so don't call me a ***** ass baby :thumb: . ($15,000 dollars tops) - What kind of parts do I need to make 475whp turbos, headers, intake, exhaust etc?!?!?! -How do you tell if its a SR20DET engine, if so is this car equiped with a SR20DET. If not can you find me a site w/ one. Thanks for your help don't flame please. |
That car still has the ka in it. If you want a car with a sr in it, you should look at www.xatracing.com. they sale 240s and they will swap the sr into the car for you. I have heard that they do really good work. There are some other places and you can look around on some of the other sites that specialize in 240s and can find 240s for sale privately with a sr already in it. Just have to look around.

Sounds nice. Is this car gonna be just a daily driver or u plannin on showing it or drifting?Post pics when you finish the car. Good luck making the car PIMP.

you should buy a car from japan or australia and import it. RHD + sr20/ca18 stock. lol
|
Well its going to be daily driver but going to drift it. I will try and get a damn camera (its kinda broken) :p . I guess there going to install the engine and performance parts. I will install suspension and exterior modifications. but what about the s14 lights
|
lol, welcome to the forums!!
It's certainly a change of pace to see somebody with the money to properly tune one of these cars. I can't wait until I graduate and start making some real $$$. Anyway make sure to post pics, and what kinda time table are you working on to get this done? (ie. aiming to have it finished in time for a show or event) |
That sounds cool, I'm planning on doing an s13 myself. But I don't know about your idea on the s14 tails on an s13. I'm sure it can be done, but then again I've seen R33 tails on a mustang, sometimes it's just not a good idea. If you want the s14 tails I'd go with an s14 off the bat and just do the s15 front conversion. Just my 2 cents...
