FMIC and a TMIC? possible?

was wondering if its ever been done, top mount intercooler like an STi, with a front mounted intercooler? i know mad fab work, but is it possible?

Sure it is. Just a lot of piping to be done... don't know if there's enough space for all that metal.

But why?

its not going to cool as weel and you will get nifty heat soak

Possible yeah. Effective, no. too much piping, a whole mess of loss in repsonse. Not to mention the lag in boost time is gonna be insane. not worth it. Wanna be cool, rock a huge effective FMIC with a tuned turbo engine and youl'l be good.

if you run top mount only, it's actually more effective in trapping cool air, but you have to remount the radiator so it and the intercooler are in a v-shape, keeping front mount works just fine, but v-mount, must agree, looks awesome

my turbo ka project is going to include v mount intercooler and radiator i'll have pics of it when its done i've got it all planed out. i'll be shure to post pics but it wont be for a while.

there is a 240 on the NICO boards that has an s13 with a top mount.
