Forced Induction

I've never turbo charged a car but I have added a supercharger onto an Si. My question is should I attempt to instal a turbo myself or take it to a shop? Also, do I need to custom fab. a turbo kit if i already added a supercharger or can i just throw on a Greddy for example?
It's gunna be a VQ35DE, if that makes a difference.

What was the question?

Seriously, you didn't give enough information about your current project for anyone to give a meaningful answer. A good place to start would be by telling us what car this is going in.

If you're planning to put a DOHC VQ into a 240 you should just go back to the drawing board now and come up with another plan.

350Z has some options

www.greddy.com
twin turbo kit

www.stillen.com
supercharger kit, which requires a modification to the hood.

www.youneedlotsofcash.com
the reasonable site to finding out how much it'll cost to even put a VQ35DE into your 240.

Wow where to start. One yes a lot of custom fabrication will be needed. No you cannot just slap on a turbo onto a car that is supercharged. What type of supercharger do you plan on using a roots based eaton style (jackracing) or a centrifical like a vortec. Do you want to run run them in series or parrell. And finally why in gods name would you want to do that. A vq transplant ok, but two different forms of forced induction, wtf. I know a supercharger is supposed to make your engine feel bigger but max boost is not achieved until redline. Why not try to run a twin turbo set-up with a small quick spooling and a larger turbo. You could still have a twin staged boost. Also find a good body shop, ie one that can do a tube frame front half for you. Your going to need a tone of space for all of this stuff.
