info on turbo before ordering

I'm going to be ordering my turbo soon, within March, hopefully if nothing happens.

Anyways, I was going to go with the gt2871r, but its to small for my liking, so I found a GT3076R by Garrett.

I found a site that gives me everything that I can get for it, but I want to ask a few questions before I order, and then find out it won't work, or something!

Go here for the page I'm looking at:
http://www.atpturbo.com/Merchant2/me...egory_Code=GRT

A few things that I will also be installing on the car at the same time as the turbo, or before:

HKS Step 3 Head System 9000 RPM Redline
HKS Step 3 Cams 272/272
HKS Cam Gears
HKS 1.2mm Metal Head Gasket
HKS Fuel Rail
GReddy Pulley Set
GReddy Profec B-Spec II Boost Controller
RC Engineering 750cc/min Injectors
Sard FPR
A'PEXi Power FC Commander
and a few other things but can think of the at the moment!

I'm going for 350-400 hp, daily driver (main use), drag (weekly), and a few times a month drifting.

ok, to the turbo question:

There are three turbine housing options:

.64 A/R
.83 A/R
1.06 A/R

I know that the 1.06 A/R is hugh and would probably take forever to spool up, so that one is out of the question, in my opinion!

I think the .64 may spool up too fast with the HKS Head System, I'm thinking the .83 would be the better one to go with, but not to sure about this, help me out!

The Turbine wheel is 60mm with a 84 trim

They also give several different turbo housing styles, I'm not sure about any of these. I need help on these!

* T3 Turbine Inlet Flange, 4 bolt GT 3" Discharge External Wastegate only

*T3 Turbine Inlet Flange, 5 bolt T3/T4/Ford Style Discharge, Internal or External Wastegate

*T3 4 bolt exhaust housing .63 or .82 only

*Divided T3 Exhaust housing with V-band (.78 A/R only)

* T3 Internal Wastegate 5 bolt housing

Once again I am NOT sure about anything above for the housing styles, help me decide Please!

What type turbo manifold would I use? A T3 or what?

Which would be better, internal or external wastegate?

I read about turbos and the stuff about them, but still wasn't for sure about some of the stuff above.

I'm not sure whether you are kidding or not, because my bone stock RB26 240SX on the stock turbo's at 16 PSI did 383whp.

If you are only shooting for 400whp, you were a fool to pay for a RB26 swap.

If you are even halfway serious, check out the 800 HP Build thread on my car, and take some notes.

I don't have a rb26, sorry forgot to list that I have a sr20, my name came from when I was going to get a rb26. sorry about that. (I tried to get my screen name changed before, but the old admin was never on, so I couldn't get it changed) I need to PM the new admin about a screen name change.

anyways, I have a sr20det that I'm building up, and im serious about the turbo, and the mods i'm doing to it.

so what should I do with the turbo options they give me?

hmmm.

what will the car really be used for..

for example auto x--- if so you want the smallest A/R as you stated the bigger A/R's will take long to hit and are for those who primarily drag.

its mainly a daily driver, but I may drag once a week, and go sliding once a week, but its mainly a daily driver. I really don't drive very far, I live 3 miles from work, and like 5 miles from the main town.

so the, T3 Turbine Inlet Flange, 4 bolt GT 3" Discharge External Wastegate only, would probably be my best choice, with a turbine size of .83 A/R?

what manifold should I use, a T3 flange manifold?

Thanks for the replies and help!
