ka24 or sr20
ka24 or sr20
Alright need a non bais oppinon here. Turbo the ka24de or just get an sr20?? i really dont know which way to go. Obviously ka has more torque cause of larger displacement, but ive never really heard of an sr20 screwin up(cept for clutch prob). But i keep readin **** and i really wanna go for the ka turbo'd but i see places where people run past 10 psi on stock internals and never hav problems, then i read that people blow engines on 7 psi?!?!?! Is all i need to do is get new rods and pistons and i can run 8-10 psi on the ka if i get a kit from like f-max, nsport or gt-pro??. Need some info on this tricky ka motor. really appreciate it. Oh ya which is the best turbo kit(most realiable and most power)
ok..
any motor can blow up..
its how its tuned..
if it runs lean boom..
if it runs too rich..
boom
basically u can do anything u want ... just tune it right..
i know that top fuel in japan is boosting a itr
compression ratio of 11:1 or myabe higher..
tuning counts...

ran the f-max kit on my KA altima for two years at 10 psi before I went to build it up in May. For cost efficiency, you're better off going for the sr20det, it'll be cheaper in the long run and is about 100 lbs lighter than the KA. The backing in japan of the sr20 is amazing, it's like a b16 over here, every reputable shop has parts for it. The nice thing about the sr20, is that you can boost it up to 14 psi (if you have the t25 s13-14) and not get a ping. If the altima readily accepted the sr20 with minimal alterations, there would be no choice in my mind which one I'd choose.

I've seen tons on Altimas with Sr's. The swap is easy. You need some usdm parts, but it's drop in. Here's an australian Altima converted to bluebird sss 4wd ltd. attesa.

and where in that article does it say that the swap was done or is possible. Please dont lie next time about seeing altimas with sr's. I know you have never seen one in person and the only way you have ever seen one is in pictures about the bluebird
yo seriouslly, all u altima kats do is mess with us, seriouslly go to another forum and mess around.. there are actually some serious people here.. all u guys do is post stupid stuff ... then we bash etc. etc... its starting to get annoying... and i know its pissing alot of people off...
