Maf?
 

My check engine light has been on ever since i bought the car. its a 1995 240sx SE. I think its the MAF. there are like 2 wires that are just hanging around in my motor? where do they go? what should i do? im about to turbo the car. the car has been running fine with that light on so do i really need it?

i like to think of the CEL as a suggestion usually, but it should be followed within a reasonable amount of time. my last car ran for over a year with the CEL on no problems. do you have any pics of the wires? flash the ECU its really simple and find out wat your problem is. my problems so far have been knock sensor and EGR

Is your car OBDII? If so you can use and OBD scanner to see whats throwing it

knock sensor and egr are common cel throwers as well as the maf. best thing to do is pull the codes and use a decoder to source the problem. Since you are going turbo soon your egr will probably mess with you a good deal
