Power Steering Leak
 

Hello everyone, I'm a noobie here looking to buy his first 240sx. The one I'm looking at is a KA-T and has been boosted for about 6 months now with a boost of 6psi. It's running a T3/T4 turbo 60 trim and the gentleman who is selling it says that the only bad thing is there is a small power steering leak that he thinks may be coming from a hose. The car is a 95 with 90k on the motor and I was wondering if this sounds like a poor investment or not. He also says that it's running a little rich due to the current set up because of the turbo. I don't know if he meant rich like more fuel is going in to make the correct fuel air ratio due to the turbo, or if it is still running rich and is putting in a little more fuel than it is supposed to. I'm thinking that if it's running a little rich I can just turn the boost up a couple psi to fix that problem since it should be able to handle like 10psi (CORRECT ME IF I'M WRONG PLEASE). I don't know a shiat about this power steering though. How much could this run me? What is your opinion. Anything would be really helpful. if its just a hose its goin to be pretty easy to change and you can buy one from a junkyard for real cheap or get a new one for like 50 bucks also if its running pretty rich you might be able to fix it with an fpr or you may have to get it tuned btw welcome to the forum

:werd: He speaks the truth, if it's just a softline or the pressure hose it's relatively easy to fix or replace. http://www.club240.com/forums/showthread.php?t=38676 You can get a new piece of softline at the parts or hardware store for dollars. You can buy a new pressure hose for $150 or just go to the junkyard and pull one for $10-$20. If you can, clean the area, crank the car and move the steering wheel side to side so you can find exactly where the leak is coming from.
