problem with the sr
 

i got an sr20det redtop, in my 90' 240. and i am having problems with it. it seems to spool perfect and blow off perfect, so i dont think that it is the turbo, but when i get on it there is no power and it sounds really bad. and today i replaced the washer at the bov thinking i had a leak there and it didnt work. but the weird thing is it idles really bad and wants to cut off. but when the car was runnin i took off the connection to the maf sensor and it idled almost perfect. how can i check to see if the maf isjavascript:smilie(':mad:')

it may be the MAF sensor, or your turbo is shot to hell. Check for shaft play. Pretty much the only way to test MAF's is to get another one and try it.

If you upgraded anything on the motor than the maf could be starving the motor of fuel. If you didn't upgrade your maf before, now is a great time to do so. I've also moved my z32 maf to right before the intake manifold so the air/fuel mixture is correct entering the motor. The bov and intercooler could alter the airflow and change the amount of air entering the combustion chamber. A little bit of change could cause the rough idle you were speaking of. Upgrade the maf and update us with what happens
