rb25det speed sensor problem

I'm swapping in a 97 rb25det into my 95 240. i have the engine in but it won't rev past 4000 rpm. I think its my speed sensor, but i'm not sure. Does it sound like its the sensor. If so, does anyone know how i can get around this problem or know anywhere i can buy a replacement?
