s14 SR20DET vs KA24 Greddy Turbo Kit vs KA24 Custom Turbo Kit

i will be gettin into a 5spd '95 240sx within the week and don't know which setup to run with. which would be the most bang, S14 SR20DET motor swap, the greddy kit or a kit pieced together. will the greddy kit fit even tho it says it's for 96-98?

really all depends on how much u wana spend and what ur goals are for the car.

Levi SPL S14 02-02-2006 04:12 AM

Why dont you see what is the MOST popular one and go with that.

WhoDiddy 02-02-2006 06:08 AM

most popular one seems to be the sr20det, but would the 2.4 produce larger gains when turbo'd?

motegineon 02-02-2006 08:06 AM

the thing is if ur only looking for like 200hp then either of em would hit it easy. But the KA has lots more torque and what not, but the ka really isnt safe boosted over 10psi with stock internals, while the sr20 is good to about 18 without changing internals...KAT can be great but sr20 is more popular for a reason...Thats why it all depends on how much your willing to spend..Also if ur in a debate of sr vs. ka SEARCH around for the topic, there are so many threads and statistics out there..

Yes...search......its really up to you........you can spend alot of money on the SR20 and you can spen alot of money on the KA-T.....really up to you......i like the fact that i'm running boost on a 2.4L and not a 2.0L......but really up to you.........:thumb:

i searched but got tired of it after a while. i have a 88 rx7 10ae that's got a 13B-RE twin turbo in it and was looking into the KA and SR group. keeping it KA seems to be the best shot here. thx fellas. will the 96-98 greddy kit work on a 95?

chiroke 02-02-2006 07:26 PM

then go to the gym - there's answers for every single one of your questions, and the "Greddy on a 95" one just became the kicker.
