V-mounted intercooler
would the cooling of the intercooler still be the same? and also im guessing that this would cost alot more, and would you need more custom parts aside from the intercooler piping, such as radiators and what not? Is the reason that more people are not doing this simply a cost issue or are there any other issues to deal with in doing this sort of intercooler setup?

my guess is that u wont need to run fans for ur radiator is a up side
also the piping for the ic is shorten which is also a good thing
down side is i believe u must get different mounts because the motor need to be moved back to make room for the setup
cost i believe is the main reason
crashing a setup like that isnt exactly well taken either
got the money do it, but a front mount will do fine for anyone

Like otehr said, it costs money and isn't teh safest thing to have, However, with v-mount, you have cooling to both your radiator and IC. Also, the piping is less for the IC so less distance for air to travel and less turbo lag. However, you don't get as much air flow to your IC as you would with an FMIC. V-mount is very dangerous though, crash and it's all over. Not to mention a lot of money down the drain. You'll need custom mounts for not only your engine, but also your IC and your radiator. Not worth it IMO.
BTW, why do you wanna hide your FMIC? Cops don't care. And if you're that worried, just paint it black and it wont be seen anymore. Won't hurt the performance of the IC either.

well you will lose any amount of sleeper it is when you have a big vented hood to let the air flow.
also if you do not just a vm mount but mout them at angels it will help.
i would just use some radiator paint and make it black.
